According to the AP, McCain said on Sunday (October 12)
"We're going to spend a lot of time and after I whip his you-know-what in this debate, we're going to be going out 24/7," McCain said.
In addition to being a violent metaphor, and a disturbing reminder of Bush's sexist comment that he "kicked a little tail" after his debate with Ferraro, it's a horridly racist comment. As a white person trying to be anti-racist, it appalls me. Shouldn't every white politician out there be asked if they denounce McCain's racist implication that he is an overseer who wants to whip Obama?
In the same talk to his campaign workers, McCain is quoted as saying, "we will conduct a respectful race and be sure everyone else does too." When are you going to start, Senator?
