The Obama administration is claiming, as the New York Timesreports today, that the President has the power to decide unilaterally to jail persons indefinitely without trial, and is planning to detain about 50 persons in this way. It's an unconstitutional outrage.
This unconstitutional power grab is almost as bad as the Obama administration's claim last Spring of even more sweeping dictatorial powers than Bush asserted -- when it argued that the courts can't even review Presidential actions under the State Secrets doctrine (see http://www.peaceworkmagazine.org/...).
